An informal listing of work. Spiraling out from the 'piko'; I weave two quilts that exist as one. Two stories echo, compliment, or debate each other. They are in "syzygy"; forever yoked together. In the tradition of quilts I use thrift store finds, or fabrics gifted to me, or salvaged throw aways; I'm always on the cheap. I question what is considered ugly vs beautiful. And I hope to tease out a story of interest while teasing the eye.

#72. Lost and Found. 62" x 62" if laid flat. Made from synthetics, silks, cotton. Lost in the move to St. Louis, it was started in 2023 and finished in 2026. Hawaiian orchids in warp and weft mesh together to finish the flowers in the border, shared with Scandinavian style leaves. My sister in law gave me the Hawaiian fabric samples from a store that was closing in Honolulu. The vibrant African fabric with birds surround the interior elements of American flags and Japanese design.
#71. UPDATE: American Crazy Quilt with Dorothy. @24" x 60" x 12". 2026. Instead of weaving from the center out this woven quilt has one rectangular segment leading to the next segment haphazardly but carefully not bleeding colors into each other. Taken to a farm field it is then torn with shotgun blasts and knife slashes. NFS
