2001, we moved back to Oak Park, Illinois. Chemo for Lymphoblastic T Cells took my hair. Crochet spirals were therapeutic and warm.

1998 - 2001. Moved to S.F. and Orinda, 1 apartment, 2 houses! A lot of traveling up and down the west coast, Ketchikan, France, China. But, I did make a dragon out of hula hoops for the Sleepy Hollow Swim club parade; car stickers for the caravan to Molokof Gold mines; re-glued TJ's backgammon set...stuff like that.

While sitting in the back of Ellen's Mandarin class I hand stitched a 'poncho' of Chinese characters. They spell out all the good, moral attributes one would want any child to have. You would think I could have learned some Mandarin, nope.

Gung Gung and Popo were so pleased with Ellen's Chinese lessons they took us to China in 2000.  

1998?. Later I gave and named it after niece, 'Emma's Pond'. I think it's perfect for Alaska. Lots of wildlife and dead ones too.

1998. I gave pregnant Heather a baby blanket made of fleece and velvet. They moved to Texas and we moved to California. The next time we meet up Jonathan is pleased to meet me as the 'Betty' that made his 'Betty Blanket'. I'm pleased he loves it so.

In 2017 after many moves I found my lost fetishes in the Alaska cedar box @ 1977-1997

 I was soldering, linking "tattooed" rawhide into a form, when I read the label warning of toxic fumes. I was pregnant. That's when I switched to the traditional cleaner and safer women's art of quilting. 1988

1987. Chicago had a sweltering summer. I was pregnant. Realizing I was inhaling toxic fumes from soldering I retired into our one air conditioned bedroom and began quilting. This is 'Mango, Banana, Coconut', a quilt for baby "Wegee". 6 months pregnant we move to Baltimore.
