#71. 'Untitled 2025' (American Crazy Quilt) approx. 52" x 40". Made of left over strips from previous projects and a thrift store prom dress.

Cartridge shot tears through both side, no matter if it is blue warp on one side or red warp on the other.
This crazy quilt morphs organically as I add on one section after another. Reusing fabric and story residues from previous quilts mish mash together. The warp is red on one side and blue on the other.  They weave everything together. When the shotgun blasts through one side the other side is equally affected. America.

Finds from Found By The Pound, a thrift store in N. County of STL,
and left over fabric woven into 'Untitled 2025'. Sort of like stir-frying Chop Suey.

#69. 'Japanese/American Quilt'. 2025.2. 65.5" x 61.5". Thrift store fabrics, both Japanese and American. Silk, Synthetics, Cotton.

Tweaking the traditional quilt and weaving designs of Japan and America.

I used small bits of Japanese fabrics. They look like they are placed by chance. But no, I learned randomness in design is never random.

American fabric printed to look like already made traditional quilts are torn apart loosing their quilt designs only to be woven into a traditional woven design, the Madras plaid. Below are pictures of the fabrics I tore into 1" widths. They lost all of their individual designs but kept their colors in the madras plaid weave.
